Vacancy for the position of Religious worker

 Liverpool Ganesh temple is a UK registered charity and serves the community in North West of England with religious activities. We have vacancies for Religious Worker, who comes from traditional South Indian/ Sri Lankan Priestly order. Applications are invited from potential candidates to fill the posts. The candidate must have undergone training under reputable Saiva  Hindu Organisation. Applicants must have extensive previous proven experience and must be a strict vegetarian.

 Main duties and Responsibilities
  • Must be able to effectively and knowledgeably serve Tamil Hindu Temple and community’s worship service needs.
  • Conduct Hindu Temple rituals such as Abishekam, Homam, Officiating Weddings and special prayers for Family events.
  • Assist other priest leading Hindu Poojas and prayers regularly in and out of the premises.
  • Be well versed in the Tamil Hindu worship services.
  • Leading the development and delivering the Hindu activity of the temple.
  • Responsible inside the temple for representing, promoting, maintaining and ensuring the transference of the Hindu ethos of the temple.
  • Proven experience in making flower garland, decorating the deities and preparing Holy foods for rituals offerings.
  • Maintain the sanctum.
  • Offer counselling and welfare support to the faith members.

Religious Worker-Garland maker ( 1 position)

Job description

We are a Hindu Charity operating in Liverpool and are looking to hire an Garland maker for Liverpool Ganesh temple. Applicants must be well versed in the making of garlands based on Hindu Saiva tradition and be able to perform the following duties:

  1.  Proven experience in making flower garland for the deities.
  2. Make garlands for deities during special occasions like annual festivals, Diwali, Vinayagar Chathurthi etc.
  3. Make garlands for deities for daily worship.
  4. Make special garlands for Weddings, religious ceremonies and special prayers for Family events.
  5. Make flower decorations for Gods during procession.
  6. Assisting other priest leading Hindu Pooja and prayers regularly in and out of the premises.
  7. Overseeing the care and maintenance of the temple.
  8. Performing any other role that may be assigned by the Senior Priests and the Administration.
